Pooh Shiesty Hints That His First Project Since His Release From Prison Is Coming Soon

Rap fans can look forward to Pooh Shiesty’s first project since his release from prison in October. On Monday (Dec. 15), during Apple Music’s “The Ebro Show,” the artist known for “Back in Blood” announced that his next full-length album is in progress.

When Ebro Darden inquired about the release timeline, Shiesty mentioned that fans would not have to wait “that long at all,” adding, “[It’s] coming real soon like a movie.” He confirmed that it might arrive before summer, stating, “S**t is on the way.”

Details about the project remain limited, but this will be Shiesty’s first release since 2021’s Shiesty Season. His debut mixtape featured collaborations with artists such as Lil Durk, 21 Savage, and frequent collaborator BIG30, with additional guests on the deluxe version.

Last Friday (Dec. 12), Shiesty released his first single of the year, “FDO,” which stands for “First Day Out.” In this track, he referenced Kendrick Lamar, Durk, Yo Gotti, and others. He rapped, “Where y’all? Stolo still parked, stuffin’ zaza in pickle jars / If my Drac’ jam on me, we beefin’, I’ma turn Kendrick Lamar.”

The song also included a line referencing Bronny James, son of LeBron James: “Your daddy a killer, but you ain’t, you just like Bronny James.” When Darden asked if he anticipated the record’s success, Shiesty replied, “I expected the most, you know what I’m saying? I expected it to go crazy. I expected the whole nine, but that motherf**ker [is] doing some outrageous s**t.”

In 2022, Shiesty received a sentence of five years and three months for his involvement in an armed robbery at a Florida hotel. However, he was released early due to time served and good behavior. His attorney, Bradford Cohen, noted on Instagram that “The government wanted [him to serve] 10 [years]… He got three.”
