Spinall indicated that he had sent Buju Banton several instrumental tracks in advance; when Buju selected the one that resonated with him, it turned out to be the same instrumental Spinall had in mind for the recording. Spinall remarked, “That just told me right there, ‘Okay, we’re locked in.’”
