Nigerian rapper and activist Eedris Abdulkareem has reported the suspension of his Facebook and Instagram accounts, which he states occurred shortly after the release of his new politically charged track, “Open Letter to Donald Trump,” on November 30, 2025.

On Sunday, the veteran rapper indicated that he has been unable to access both accounts since the song’s debut. A check confirmed that his pages on the two Meta-owned platforms are no longer visible. However, Meta has not provided any explanation regarding the account removal or specified whether it was due to a policy violation.

Eedris, known for his outspoken views on politics and governance, did not mention if he received any prior warnings or notifications about the suspension.

The new song, released under Lakreem Entertainment, addresses various issues such as corruption, insecurity, and poor leadership in Nigeria. While it is directed at U.S. President Donald Trump, the lyrics primarily focus on Nigeria’s political leaders and the nation’s governance challenges.

This incident is not the first time Eedris Abdulkareem has encountered criticism regarding his music. In April 2025, the National Broadcasting Commission banned his song “Tell Your Papa,” claiming it contained content that violated broadcast regulations.
