Erykah Badu and Summer Walker shared a noteworthy moment during the second Atlanta stop of Badu’s “Mama’s Gun 25 Tour.” On Monday night (Nov. 24) at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, the pair surprised attendees with a short duet of “Bag Lady.”

In video clips shared online, Walker began the song with the opening lines: “Bag lady, you gon’ hurt your back / Draggin’ all them bags like that.” Moments later, Badu followed up with, “All you must hold onto is who?” to which Walker replied, “Is you, is you, is you.”

Walker was accompanied by Sukihana, who also posted video clips from the event on her Instagram Stories.

The “Mama’s Gun 25 Tour” is set to continue into next month, with upcoming stops in cities such as Houston, Chicago, Brooklyn, and Nashville. The tour is scheduled to conclude on Dec. 10 at the Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Dallas.

As suggested by its name, the tour commemorates the 25th anniversary of Badu’s sophomore album, Mama’s Gun. In addition to “Bag Lady,” the album contains tracks like “Didn’t Cha Know,” “Green Eyes,” and the collaboration with Stephen Marley titled “In Love with You.”

When reflecting on the project in October, Badu mentioned in an interview with The Los Angeles Times, “I don’t think of it in terms of years. I think of it in terms of progression, like, ‘Have I moved away from the Mama’s Gun messages?’ A lot of them, as I said, I wrote as a young person, and I haven’t even explored some of the messages yet within myself.”

She continued, “So, it’s been 25 years, but there are still 14 songs and 14 messages to work through for me.”

On another note, Walker recently achieved the largest opening for an R&B album by a female artist in 2025. Her third studio album, Finally Over It, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 77,000 album-equivalent units.
