Nigerian music figure Don Jazzy has addressed a claim made by Bankulli regarding a car incident that allegedly took place in London nearly two decades ago.

Bankulli claimed that Don Jazzy was involved in an accident in the Blackwall Tunnel, removed the vehicle’s number plate, and left the car to evade high towing fees. This statement generated discussion online, with some fans questioning whether this incident could lead to any legal complications for Don Jazzy in the UK.

In response to the discussions, Don Jazzy downplayed the issue and clarified the events. He mentioned that the incident happened so long ago that he does not recall every detail, but emphasized that he did not leave the scene. He stated that he waited for police to arrive, and they conducted the necessary checks, including a breathalyser test, which indicated that he was not under the influence. He noted that while the car was impounded, the retrieval fee was greater than the car’s worth, leading him to decide against reclaiming it.

Legal experts in the UK indicated that incidents like this are categorized as minor traffic violations, which have a prosecution limit of six months. Given that the police were involved at the time and the incident occurred almost 20 years ago, it is considered legally resolved and cannot be pursued further.
