Seyi Shay Has Ended Her Silence After A Lengthy Absence From The Public Eye

Nigerian singer and songwriter Seyi Shay has revealed the reason behind her long absence from the music scene, a period that has lasted more than four years.

The singer behind Right Now stated that her time off was a deeply personal and deliberate process of introspection, recovery, and spiritual rejuvenation.

In an open and honest conversation with Chude Jideonwo, Seyi Shay clarified that her decision to step back from the public spotlight gave her the opportunity to re-find herself and reorganize her priorities. Over the course of the last four years, I have accomplished a considerable amount of work. She stated that the transformation of her mind began before she had her child. I embarked on a path of solitude. Something genuinely positive about isolation is that it provided me with insight, hindsight, and foresight. I believe that’s one of the largest gifts God has bestowed upon me.

A 38-year-old singer who has recently become a mother stated that being alone played a key part in her spiritual and emotional development. Her time away allowed her to release patterns that were no longer consistent with her life’s purpose.

Seyi Shay also reflected on how her perspective on relationships has evolved, stating that she now functions on a distinct frequency when it comes to comprehending men and personal connections.

On the topic of her personal life, the singer confirmed that she has a respectful and friendly relationship with the father of her child, who is employed in the corporate aspect of the music industry. This is a technical problem, I assume. He’s an awesome guy, he’s really cool, and he’s always around. She shared that they work together, raise their child, and are great friends.

Seyi Shay referred to motherhood as the most grounding experience of her life, describing her daughter as a “gift” and a significant source of inspiration. The artist’s openness signifies the start of a new chapter, marking not just a personal transformation but also potentially a creative revival.
