Cardi B Celebrates Her Success With “AM I THE DRAMA?” Saying “I’m Proud Of My Numbers”

Cardi B’s sophomore album, AM I THE DRAMA?, has achieved significant commercial and critical success. In an interview with PAPER on Tuesday, October 14, the Bronx rapper expresses pride in the reaction her music has received online.

“It’s that which makes me so proud of myself,” Cardi said to PAPER when asked about her new music being a staple on TikTok. There’s been a huge ordeal with the figures. First of all, I’m extremely proud of my number one, but we’re in a very different era when it comes to music. Not only am I proud of my numbers, but you’ll also have women from the sidelines who will try to make you feel unworthy of your achievements.

Cardi B likely referred to the recent rekindling of her long-standing feud with Nicki Minaj, which began due to a series of tweets about album sales, or alleged lack thereof, by Nicki Minaj. Despite initial scepticism, Cardi’s new album was an instant success. AM I THE DRAMA? achieved platinum certification by the RIAA on the day of its release. It has since reached double platinum status.

Despite this, the “WAP” rapper is not solely concentrating on price points and album sales. In today’s digital age, another key indicator of an album’s lasting impact is how frequently it appears on social media profiles. Cardi B remains a constant presence on social media timelines.

“There are individuals who have achieved 100,000 sales yet still refer to me as a failure,” Cardi said. However, people will attempt to dissuade you from your numbers, yet it’s evident they have no effect on me. People will attempt this, but it will not succeed. The program fails whenever thousands of videos are being created using your music. Thousands of people are then creating memes using your songs. There are so many individuals who initially doubted my album, now saying, ‘You know what, her album is good?’

Supporters will be taking their appreciation for AM I THE DRAMA? to stadiums in 2026 when Cardi is set to begin her “Little Miss Drama Tour.” The trek is anticipated to take place from February through to April across North America.
