2Baba Reported Missing, Family Calls For DSS Intervention

Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Baba, has raised concerns about his whereabouts, following an official declaration from his family that he is missing and is taking measures to find him.

According to reports, a petition allegedly submitted by the Idibia family circulated widely on social media on February 14, 2025, indicating that they had sought the assistance of the Department of State Services (DSS) in locating the artist. Reports indicate that 2Baba has gone missing since February 10, 2025, after he departed his residence in loungewear, implying he was heading out for a walk. Despite numerous attempts, his family and staff have been unable to establish contact with him.

The family’s distress was compounded by the fact that messages were being sent from 2Baba’s social media accounts, requesting financial assistance from those who contacted him. Concerns have been raised that the singer’s history of financial self-sufficiency may be a motive for his alleged abduction, with suspicions that someone is trying to take advantage of his connections for their own financial benefit.

At present, no formal announcement has been made by 2Baba’s team, and enthusiasts nationwide are on edge as attempts to find the musician persist.
