2Baba Reflects On Past Actions And Decisions

Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, known as 2Face or 2Baba, has openly discussed personal and professional choices he now reflects on with a desire for different outcomes.

In a recent interview on the Mic On podcast, the Afrobeats artist acknowledged that emotional pressure has significantly influenced some of the challenging periods in his life.

Reflecting on his past, 2Baba indicated that his experiences have imparted valuable lessons, and given the opportunity, he would handle certain decisions with greater consideration.

“There are many things I wish I could rewind and do better,”

2Baba stated, noting how emotional strain can impair judgment.

“As a human being, there are times when you feel overwhelmed or do not make the best choices.”

He also revisited the controversial incident in London in October 2025, which involved a disagreement with his wife, Natasha Osawaru, and resulted in his arrest.

Addressing the situation candidly, 2Baba took responsibility for his actions, acknowledging that anger played a role and describing the incident as an unfortunate chapter in his life.

“I was angry that day,”

he shared, mentioning that managing personal challenges while being in the public eye has been difficult.

In addition to the incident, the father of eight reflected on his parenting role, recognizing that he has not been as engaged as he wishes. He emphasized the significance of fatherhood and expressed a sincere intention to improve in the future.

“I have not been the best daddy. I want to do more,”

he remarked, while underscoring his desire to keep his family life private.

According to 2Baba, these experiences have led him to a more introspective phase, aiding his understanding of accountability, emotional regulation, and the ongoing process of personal development.
